2011 Holiday Party

The 2011 TLC Annual Holiday extravaganza was held at the Pasadena Humane Society and was attended by more than 350 excited children, teens, and their immediate families. Everyone delighted in a delicious bar-b-que meal and a visit from Santa! There were also big ticket items raffled off, fun games and lively music. The volunteers worked tirelessly to insure a fun-filled and happy event that everyone in attendance can enjoy. At the end of the event the children took home a gift bag filled with toys donated by the Disney Store North America. Each bag was filled with toys specifically selected for their gender and age group.

As an added bonus the children were treated to time with some of the pets sheltered at the Pasadena Humane Society-once again bringing children and animals together. Historically, between 1903-1912, the Pasadena Humane Society was once a shelter for children as well as animals.

The children invited to attend this year’s event were from the following six charities: Elizabeth House, El Centro, Euclid Villa Transitional Living, Families in Transition, NATHA Cool Youth Program, and Rosemary Children Services.

This year’s event garnered much attention, to read more about it check out the story in the Pasadena Outlook.
