2012 Holiday Party

The 2012 TLC Annual Holiday extravaganza was held at the Pasadena Humane Society and was attended by more than 350 excited children, teens, and their immediate families. Everyone delighted in a delicious bar-b-que meal, fun games, lively music, and a visit from Santa! The volunteers worked tirelessly to insure a fun-filled and happy event that everyone in attendance can enjoy. At the end of the event the children took home a gift bag filled with toys, mostly donated by the Disney Store North America. Each bag was filled with toys specifically selected for their gender and age group.

Even though this was the last year that TLC hosted the event at the Pasadena Humane Society they stayed true to the tradition of treating the children to time with some of the pets sheltered there. Interestingly enough, between 1903-1912, the Pasadena Humane Society was once a shelter for children as well as animals.
The children invited to attend this year’s event were from eight charities, the six major charities were: El Centro, Euclid Villa Transitional Living, Families in Transition, NATHA Cool Youth Program, Union Station Homeless Services, and Armenian Relief Society.
