2015 Holiday Party
Since 2013, Dr. Steven Grey has donated the use of Pasadena Christian School for the TLC Annual Holiday extravaganza. As in previous years, this event was attended by more than 350 excited children, teens, and their immediate families. We have a fantastic group of volunteers that help out at the event, from setting up to cleaning up. There is a DJ and dancing, balloon artists, as well as arts and crafts for everyone to get involved. There is a great group of young gentlemen from a local boys group home that helps out with the bar-b-que,
where everyone enjoys burgers, hot dogs, chips, drinks, and the everyone’s favorite dessert…ICE CREAM!
The volunteers worked tirelessly to insure a fun-filled and happy event that everyone in attendance may enjoy. At the end of the event the children take home gift bags filled with toys, clothing, books, games, and school supplies specifically selected for their gender and age group. Each year a special team of Board members make the trek to downtown Los Angeles to purchase items that will thrill and enthrall the children, always looking for the latest in technology, fashion, and popularity.
The children invited to attend this year’s event were from eight charities, the six major charities were: El Centro, Euclid Villa Transitional Living, Families in Transition, NATHA Cool Youth Program, Union Station Homeless Services, and Armenian Relief Society.
